This popcicle stick birdhouse craft is a more difficult craft and very enjoyable for days after. After we put ours out, some of our favorite Ybor roosters came by for a visit! (Pictured below).

What you need:

• Popsicle Sticks (If you don’t want to paint each stick, pre-painted ones are available for purchase).
• Hot Glue Gun
• Paint (to decorate)
• String
• Bird Seed!

To start:

1. Start with 10 popsicle sticks for the base of the bird house. Use the hot glue gun to glue the sides together. Then use the string to wrap it. (Shown in the first image.0
2. Next, layer popsicle sticks to create the sides of the bottom. Use the hot glue gun to secure the sticks to the base. (Shown in the second picture.0
3. Slide a stick between the gaps for songbirds to perch on. Secure with hot glue again. (Shown in picture 3.)
4. Now it’s time to build the brace for the roof! Shown in the below picture, use 16 sticks to build the frame and secure with hot glue.
5. Raise the roof! ? Use the same technique like the base and glue the sides of the sticks together. We were very generous with the hot glue and we suggest you are as well. Create the roof by attaching it to the frame and together at the top of the roof.
6. Next cut your string and attach to the roof with the hot glue so you are able to hang the birdhouse!
7. If you wish to decorate more, now’s the time! If not, enjoy the bird that come to eat out of the house. ?
