What’s the deal with uploading images?

by | January 11, 2024

Greetings! If you’ve encountered a broken image link, or you’re unable to upload an image to your newsletter at all, worry not – it’s generally an issue related to the HEIC format. As it happens, most browsers aren’t fully on board with displaying HEIC images. This is due to Apple’s exclusive and expensive licensing, which can be an unjustified expense for browsers other than Safari. Especially when many free image formats are widely available!

For optimal compatibility and viewing experience, we require the more widely supported JPG or PNG formats when uploading your images.

If you’re an iPhone user and looking to seamlessly transition to a different format, here’s a comprehensive guide on capturing images as JPEG instead of HEIC: https://www.imore.com/how-take-jpeg-pictures-ios-instead-heic. There’s also information on how to convert to JPG when copying to your computer.

Still getting a broken image icon? Be sure your file names are unique. For example, you can only upload “image.jpg” once – be sure that each file name is different for each file.

We appreciate your understanding as we strive to enhance the overall user experience and image accessibility. Should you have any further questions, feel free to reach out. Here’s to smoother image displays and a seamless browsing experience! 📸 🌐
