This bee craft is a great way to jump start your spring! We encourage you to “bee” yourself with this craft and add your own creative flair to it. Are you wondering how many bee puns we have in this blog post? Only one more, we promise.?
What you need:
- Ping Pong Ball
- Paper Towel Rolls
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun
- Sharpie
- Construction Paper
How To Make The Comb:
- Take your paper towel roll and fold the the sides to make a 5-sided hexagon. (Shown in the first image.)
- Then, cut the roll in 1/2 inch sections to make up the comb.
- Using your hot glue gun, attach the sections together to form the comb like shown in picture three.
How To Make The Bee:
- Cut black and yellow strips of construction paper to wrap around the ping pong ball. Use the hot glue gun to secure the paper to the ball.
- Make your stinger for the bee and use the glue gun to attach. (Fun Fact: Only female bees have the ability to sting you. Males are only for reproduction and then die.)
- Make the antenna and attach via the hot glue gun.
- Finally, make the wings and attach to the bee body!
- Don’t forget to put a cute smile with the sharpie on your bee. ?
