You Will Need:

• Assorted Buttons (we used green buttons but any color(s) will work)
• Wire
• Wire Cutters
• Ribbon
• Hot Glue Gun
• Scissors

To Begin:

1. Start by measuring your wire – there’s no set size. Shape out the size you would like your wreath, then add a few inches to later create the loop to hang your ornament.
2. Using wire cutters, cut your wire where you think it should end.
3. Next, gather your buttons. We used monochrome green buttons, but any color(s) will work.
4. Start by inserting the wire into one of the button’s holes. This button should end up in the middle of your wire strand.
5. Next, decide whether you would like your ornament to lay flat or three-dimensional.
6. If you would like your ornament to be three-dimensional, leave your button as-is in the middle of your wire and continue piling more buttons onto either side of your original button. We recommend alternating button sizes and/or colors. This version uses a lot of buttons.
7. If you would like your ornament to lay flat, weave one end of your wire through the second hole. You may have to manipulate the wire to lay flat. Continue stringing on buttons on either end of the original button.
8. Continue filling your wire with buttons until it’s full enough to make a circular wreath. Make sure you’ve left enough wire on either end to make the hanging loop!
9. When you’ve finished stringing on your buttons, take one end of the wire and cross it with the other end right where the buttons meet. Begin twisting the two ends together until they are nice and snug.
10. You should have a wreath with two wire ends sticking out. Take the very ends of the wires, and carefully twist them together to make a loop.
11. Next, cut off a piece of your favorite ribbon, tie it into a small bow and hot glue your bow to the top of your wreath!
12. Ta-da! You’ve created your very own handmade ornament for the holidays!
