Sunday Morning Shamrock Sun Catchers

What you will need:

• Construction paper
• Coffee Filters
• Washable Markers
• Glue Sticks
• Scissors
• Spray Bottle/water gun
• Paper Towels
• Hole Punch
• Twine

To Begin:

1. Color your coffee filter with fun colors.
2. Once the coffee filters are decorated, spread them out onto paper towels (this will lessen the mess)
3. Next, spray the coffee filters with water using your spray bottle or water gun.
4. The colors will begin to swirl and mix together.
5. Allow time for the coffee filters to dry completely.
6. To make the frame for your Shamrock Sun Catcher, fold a piece of construction paper in half, then fold it in half again.
7. Cut a heart from the folded paper, using the inner corner of the paper as the heart’s point. This will create a shamrock-shaped hole in the paper.
8. Then cut around the shamrock-shape again to make the frame. We made ours approximately 1/2 inch thick.
9. Next, use a glue stick to attach the clover onto one of the tie-dyed coffee filters.
10. Use scissors to trim off the extra coffee filter.
11. Hole Punch a hole at the top of your clover.
12. Thread a piece a twine through the hole and tie.
13. Hang and enjoy!
