Happy February! We are excited to introduce to you DIY Fridays here at Corwin! What better way to start the month than by planning some activities for the month ahead? This year, Mardi Gras kicks off on March 5th – so let’s get crafting!

Masquerade Masks

What you will need:

• Mask Template (see below)
• Poster Board
• Scissors
• Crayons/Markers/Colored Pencils
• Glitter Glue
• Sequins
• Skewers
• Hot Glue Gun

To begin:

1. Simply right-click, download, and print the mask template we have provided.
2. Cut out the mask template accordingly.
3. To make the masks, we used bright green poster board, but yours can be any color you choose. The poster board worked best because it was more durable and can be used to make multiple masks at a time.
4. Next, cut out the individual masks.
5. Hand these out to your community to decorate their own Mardi Gras Mask.
6. This step adds room for creativity – Allow your residents to color, glitter, or sequin up their mask to really add that custom charm.
7. Next, hot glue a skewer to one side of the mask.
8. Add ribbon or feathers and voila!
9. Time to party it up!
